Mary-Ellen Anderson

Mary-Ellen Anderson and her team – the Developer and Platform Group – inspire, support and foster innovation by working with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Cloud Service Vendors, developers and start-ups to create amazing applications with Microsoft’s software and platforms. The team also works with academic institutions and government to help Canada be at the forefront of global innovation in order to create opportunities for Canadians.

From the start, Mary-Ellen’s career has been focused on creativity and inspiring others. After spending 18 years producing media with organizations such as CBC and CTV, Mary-Ellen joined Microsoft’s MSN as Executive Producer where she spearheaded the launch of the new MSN.ca English and French portals. As a member of Microsoft Canada’s senior leadership team, she drove the strategic direction of MSN ensuring alignment with other Microsoft business groups including Windows and Windows Phone, Hotmail, Messenger, Bing and XBOX.
