Deborah Neimann

I’m the author of three books and speak nationally on topics related to sustainability and green living, mostly related to food and health.

As a journalist published in newspapers and magazines, my favorite stories were political, legal, and medical. I’ve been in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures, such as LASIK, varicose vein removal, and angioplasty. I’ve covered trials, including a murder for hire and armed robbery. And I’ve covered state and national politicians, including Gov. George Ryan and former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert.

I started speaking competitively as a freshman in high school, and today I inspire and teach people to live a cheaper, greener, happier, and healthier life. In addition to competing in Toastmasters speech contests a decade ago, I have testified before the U.S. House of Representatives and the Illinois House and Senate. I have appeared on Oprah, 20/20, Good Morning America, Court TV, Leeza, and other national and local news programs.

My goal for the future is to continue speaking and writing about sustainable living to provide encouragement for those who want to live a healthier life.
