As a visionary and entrepreneur at heart, Marc has launched, built, and grown multiple businesses throughout the past two decades before deciding to create his most recent venture, A La Mode, which is today his main focus.
Pairing his experience working in the high-end hotel and food industry with a passion for quality products, Marc founded A La Mode in 2014 with his wife and partner, Sandy, after learning that their nephew had a severe peanut/tree nut allergy. As ice cream lovers themselves, they wanted to ensure that everyone could enjoy the experience of delicious, high-quality ice cream, regardless of allergies. Together, Marc and Sandy carefully developed a recipe for 100% nut-free, egg-free, and sesame-free ice cream that doesn’t compromise on taste but offers a full, rich-tasting experience. In 2015, they opened a boutique ice cream parlor on New York City’s Upper East Side, and in 2016 launched a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Bronx that is free of nuts, sesame, and eggs and designed to take the product to food service and retail stores nationwide.
Since starting A La Mode, Marc has been involved in all areas of the business, including operations, production, human resources, sales, and community outreach. Today, with a solid team in place, his main focus is on sales, business development, and partnerships that increase access to the brand and extend the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
