BLACK BREASTFEEDING IS BEAUTIFUL
Get encouragement, insight and first-hand advice from our panels of moms, influencers and medical professionals
FED IS BEST
We’ve all heard about the value of “Liquid Gold” but we also know breastfeeding isn’t always an option or preference for every mom. In this session, nutritionists and medical professionals talk about the fundamentals of keeping your child full, fed, and feeling fine regardless of which path you choose.
BLACK BREASTFEEDING IS BEAUTIFUL – AND NORMAL
Join visible and vocal public figures on a quest to normalize the beauty of black breastfeeding. Moms will share their experiences breastfeeding – from navigating public breastfeeding to showcasing their precious moments on social media. This session will leave you feeling seen and celebrated.
IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED
If latching or milk production isn’t an immediate and challenge-free experience at first, it can be a deterrent for many new moms. Breastfeeding is beautiful, but it can also be HARD. In this session, our lactation specialist will guide women on tips, tricks, and expert techniques for latching, pumping, bonding, and overcoming the hurdles many of us face early on in our breastfeeding journeys
THE SUGA LIVE
Tika Sumpter and Thai Randolph will host a live version of their Stitcher podcast The Suga, a brown mama’s guide to the sweet life. The ladies have an intimate chat with Khadeen Ellis (Actress/Host) about her journey to motherhood, decision to have a home birth and everything that comes with raising 3 whole boys!
LACTATION & RELAXATION
Let go and let it flow. Breastfeeding isn’t all about the mechanics, it’s about your mindset. In this Doula-led session, we’ll get mantras and meditation exercises to relax your bodies and your mind when easing into Breastfeeding.
